Welcome to Machar, a diverse Jewish community serving secular Jews, Humanists, and interfaith and mixed-heritage families in the DC metro area. Celebrate Jewish culture while remaining true to your beliefs!
Community Sundays
Whether online or in person, we welcome you to join us.
We offer learning and fun for all ages!
Though we have suspended in-person gatherings dues to the COVID-19 pandemic, we continue to have a very robust and engaging Sunday schedule.
Our Jewish Cultural School (JCS) meets online roughly two times a month and Adult Education generally meets on the Sundays when JCS is not.

We regularly update our online schedule and will be sure to announce our plans once in-person gatherings resume.

MACHAR'S PURIM PARTY & 6TH ANNUAL COFFEEHOUSE

5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Online via Zoom
Save the date for what promises to be a fun and engaging extra-special event for all ages!
Our gathering will begin with a Purim parade and other fun activities for the children.
We will then take a short break and move into the Coffeehouse portion of the event where Machar members of all ages can share their many wonderful talents.
