We meet monthly, alternating between the 4^th Monday and 4th Thursday of each month, at 5:30pm on Zoom. Other venues and variations of meeting may occur, COVID-19 circumstances and health and safety recommendations pending. We will update the details for each month’s meeting as we know them.

In January of 2004 a small group of Machar women formed a women’s group within Machar. They called the group WITs – Wimmin in Transition.

And what is “Transition”? It’s to do with the changes we all experience in every season of our lives, as we mature and become aware of how we experience and handle changes. Going away from home for the first time; embarking on a career; marriage, juggling marriage, career, and parenthood; handling the departure from home of maturing children; becoming an empty-nester; job-loss; surprise illness; retirement. And of course, there are – throughout life – the inevitable losses. Transitions: we all have them and we are sharing and supporting one another in joy and sadness.

Sometimes, the choice is to be more structured, to choose a discussion topic for a meeting, and sometimes we are simply sharing life experiences with one another.

The personality of the group has changed with the people who show up.

All Machar women are welcome, regardless of age or life circumstance.
