Our Social Action Committee is looking for volunteers to help We Are Family DC deliver groceries on the 4th Saturday of the month to low-income seniors in the North Capitol and Shaw neighborhoods. For more info on this excellent organization, visit https://www.wearefamilydc.org.

Deliveries begin between 10 am and 12:30 pm and last for about 2 hours. See HERE for instructions on how to sign up for a delivery date. The week of the delivery you will get an email confirming your participation. Later in the week you will get another email explaining how to find your allotted time and list of recipients. It will also have a detailed protocol on the delivery itself including the following to minimize exposure to COVID-19:

• You will pick up groceries at an outdoor location
• You will drop off groceries either outside each recipient’s home or just inside the door with the recipient standing at least 6 feet back
