“Are We There Yet?” ~ Sukkot and Friends

Sukkot, Sh’mini Atzeret, and Simchat Torah come at the end of a long period of heightened Jewish holiday observance in a month that includes Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. Why the huts for Sukkot? Why the lulav (palm frond) and etrog (citron)? What’s with all these holidays, anyway? We’ll look at these and other questions as we continue our path through the Jewish calendar.
