Thinking Tuesdays

April 20, 2021 @ 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm

“Memento Mori: Remember, You Are Mortal — Yom Kippur”

We continue our voyage through the Jewish calendar, landing at Yom Kippur. As the Day of Atonement, it is known by many as the most solemn day in the Jewish year, often viewed as a dress rehearsal for death. How did it get that way, and why? What could it mean to Humanistic Jews? We’ll discuss all that and more.

Visit Machar’s YouTube channel to see what we’ve done before under this program’s original name, Texts on Tuesday.
Please contact Rabbi Jeremy at rabbi@machar.org for meeting link and access information.
