“What’s ‘Kosher,’ Anyway?”

You’ve got questions. What does the word “kosher” mean? What’s wrong with chicken parmigiana? What’s wrong with wearing wool and linen together (other than that it seems a little odd)? How can a Torah scroll be kosher?!

We’ll explore the breadth of what falls under the term “kosher” and discuss what it means for how Jewish communities do and don’t work together, and what it might mean for Humanistic Judaism.
