Kol Nidre — Reconsider
The traditional Kol Nidre chant is a kind of disclaimer, an admission that we will fail to keep promises and will fail to live up to our expectations of ourselves. As Yom Kippur begins, we will grapple with our failings and shortcomings and rethink what we can — and what we should — commit ourselves to doing in 5781.
