Tonight we’ll mark HIAS‘s annual Refugee Shabbat. We’re coming into a new presidential administration with significant hope for better treatment of refugees and asylum seekers, but much still needs to be done. We’ll have a Shabbat service focused on the needs of refugees and asylum seekers, and we’ll learn more about HIAS‘s work and current efforts, including a video message shared with participating congregations from HIAS‘s CEO, Mark Hetfield.
