Adult Ed. Topic: “Experiences and Perspectives of a Muslim and a Jewish Peace-builder: with Gulzeyin Khalibaeva and Lucy Steinitz

Gulzeyin Khalibaeva and Lucy Steinitz will speak from their respective Muslim and Jewish backgrounds,
life experiences, and professional work on peace-making. Gulzeyin will speak first, sharing her personal
story as a Muslim from Kyrgystan in Russia and her current work with Veterans for Peace with Russian
conscientious objectors to the war in Ukraine. Lucy will share her experience as the child of Holocaust
survivors and her international work with Catholic Relief Services, focusing on mental health/inner
peace as a prerequisite for societal peace.
