Uki Maroshek-Klarmon – Promoting Peace through Experiential Learning

Dr. Uki Maroshek-Klarmon will discuss the work of the Adam Institute, an Israeli non-profit, educational organization that promotes peace, mutual respect, tolerance, and co-existence across Israeli society and the region. Adam’s founder and executive director Dr. Maroshek-Klarman will share with us the “Betzavta” method, which uses experiential learning rooted in philosophy, sociology, social psychology, and fun. She holds a Ph.D in political philosophy from Tel Aviv University, has developed programs on democracy, civic, and peace education, and published books and articles.

You may notice on the registration page that the Zoom meeting is scheduled to begin at 9:30am. This is so that the hosts and speakers can get on Zoom, sort out any glitches, and settle in before the presentation begins at 10am. The Adult Ed session itself officially begins at 10am and runs until 11:30am.
