Jennie Guilfoyle – Immigration at the Crossroads: Asylum Protection Under the Biden Administration

Immigration expert and Machar member Jennie Guilfoyle will discuss the Biden Administration’s treatment of asylum seekers and refugees, including updates on Haitian asylum seekers, Afghans seeking protection in the U.S., use of the pandemic as an excuse to turn away asylum seekers, and the administration’s plans to change the asylum system. Jennie is Deputy Director of Programs for the Immigration Justice Campaign at the American Immigration Council. Previously, she worked as an Attorney Adviser at the State Department.
