JCS
10:00 am – 11:00 am
This week’s JCS session will be an all-school program for Sukkot and Simchat Torah for the first hour; the remainder of the session will be an all-congregation event for the holidays.
ADULT ED
with Rabbi Jeremy Kridel
10:00 am – 11:00 am
Sukkot comes with a straggling holiday at its end: Simchat Torah. How did we get the Torah scrolls we know today? How are they made? How are they repaired? When do they stop being useful or usable?
We’ll look at Machar’s Torah scroll, learn about how scribes work, and answer those questions and others as part of Machar’s Sukkot and Simchat Torah event.
ALL MACHAR
11:00 am – 11:30 am
Starting at 11:00, Adult Ed will wrap up their session by joining with the JCS students to get a little hands-on with Machar’s Torah scroll and see just how much of it we can unroll!

We plan to stream at least a portion of this event. We will send out access information and details as Sunday approaches.

*PLEASE NOTE: the only access to the building is through the main doors located at the back side of the building where the parking lot is located. Due to enhanced security measures, everyone must use the buzzer at the gate for entrance and identify yourself as a Machar member. This is for admittance by car or on foot. The 16th street doors are for emergency access only. Parking is available in the parking lot and in the neighborhood.
