A message from Myrna and Howard:

Dear Macharniks and friends,

We’re hosting a Havdalah get-together on August 6th at our home in Hillandale, Silver Spring.

Everyone, including kids 12 and up, is invited for an evening of good food, catching up with each other, and a Havdalah ceremony led by Rabbi Jeremy.

Havdalah is a beautiful Jewish ritual to differentiate Shabbat from the work week and involves a ceremonial spice box and the lighting of a braided candle.

Please bring along guests that may want to get to know our congregation.
