How has the Holocaust shaped you and your family history?

The meaning, lessons, and trauma of the Holocaust have been communicated to us through parents, grandparents, and other important teachers, often in very different ways. To what degree has the Holocaust shaped your family history, your childhood, your adult life? In the spirit of learning how Jews have survived past life-and-death crises, Machar’s Sunday, July 19 (10am) Zoom session of Adult Ed will be a discussion focused on your answers to those questions. In this time of great stress, we invite you to share your experiences and learn what we have in common in relation to this pivotal event in Jewish history. A brief introduction will be followed by small breakout groups where everyone will have the chance to listen and talk in depth. We’ll then return to a larger discussion. Rather than having a central speaker, Ayelet Hines and Jon Pattee will facilitate and start us off. Please come and share in this meaningful discussion.
