Joe Palca – Covering COVID: A View from NPR

Machar member and NPR Science Correspondent Joe Palca has been covering the COVID-19 pandemic since January. He will discuss the challenges of tracking the global outbreak, efforts to create an effective vaccine, and address why people might refuse to take the vaccine once it is available.  Joe earned a Ph.D in psychology from UC-Santa Cruz and has been reporting on science topics for NPR since 1992.
