holding hands Sukkot 2012

Mishpachah, headed by Renée Weitzner, is Machar’s special committee to care for members of our community.  Mishpachah is a Hebrew word for family, although it also refers to friends.  Our purpose is to help our members in good times and bad by providing support, be it with a card to encourage recovery or in some other way.  If you know of someone who needs a helping hand or has an important life event to celebrate, please contact Renée at rwcats [at] aol.com or by phone (please see membership directory).  Committee members Rose Levine and Harriet Peck may also be contacted (please see membership directory for contact information). Please also let us know if we can share your news, whether happy or sad, with the congregation, either in our newsletter or by email.

When a loved one dies, the Rabbi and Machar's Mishpachah Committee are key sources of guidance and support.  Machar has also taken a new step to help Machar members reduce the stress of making funeral arrangements.  Additional information may be found HERE.
